Kamera Privacy Policy

Kamera is an iOS camera and augmented-reality creation app by Pascal Sender.

Summary

Kamera does not sell personal information, does not show ads, and does not track you across apps or websites. Camera frames, AR processing, face effects, image analysis, QR detection, and project data are processed on device during normal app use.

Information Kamera Accesses

Camera

Kamera uses the camera for AR painting, Kamera image-target scanning, dual-camera capture, panorama capture, QR scanning, face-mask painting, optional on-device face censorship, photo capture, and video recording. Camera frames are processed on device for these features.

Microphone

Kamera uses the microphone only when you record video with audio. Recorded audio is saved as part of the video you create.

Photos

Kamera can access your photo library when you import images, browse media, create AR targets, build artist projects, or save captured photos and videos. Imported images, generated targets, and project files may be stored locally in the app container. Captures saved to Photos remain in your Photos library until you delete them there.

Location

Kamera can use your approximate current location for optional geo-tagged AR image targets. When you enable a location target, Kamera stores that target's location locally so the app can help you find and scan it again later. Location is used on device and is not sent to the developer.

QR Codes and External Links

Kamera can scan QR codes in the camera view. If you choose to open a scanned link or imported online content, your device may contact that website or service directly. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies.

On-Device Analysis

Kamera may use Apple frameworks such as ARKit, Vision, Core ML, Photos, Core Image, Metal, and AVFoundation to provide AR tracking, segmentation, face detection, photo analysis, QR detection, effects, and recording. These features run on device unless you intentionally share or open content through another app, website, or system service.

Local Storage

Kamera stores app settings, project data, target metadata, imported media references, generated files, and private library settings locally on your device. Some settings may be stored using iOS app preferences or secure storage. Deleting the app removes app-local data, but photos and videos already saved to your Photos library must be deleted from Photos.

Data Sharing

Kamera does not operate an analytics service, advertising SDK, tracking system, account system, or developer cloud service for normal app use. The developer does not receive your camera frames, photos, videos, microphone recordings, location, face data, QR scan contents, or project files from normal app use.

Data may leave your device only when you choose to share or export content, save to cloud-synced Photos, open an external website, use Apple system services configured on your device, or send information to the developer for support.

Public Gallery, Shared Targets, and User Content

The app includes an optional public sharing feature. If you choose to publish an image target, the app uploads the target image, your artwork and paint layers, the title, artist name, description, and any location you attach to the backend so the target can be shown as a public WebAR page and in the public gallery. An anonymous device account is created automatically to associate your uploads; no email or password sign-in is required, and passwords are not stored. Targets you do not publish stay only on your device. Public QR codes and links contain only the public target address. Content already downloaded or cached by other devices may persist after a target is removed.

Content & Sharing Terms

By publishing content to the public gallery you accept these terms, which you also confirm inside the app before each upload:

  • You own what you upload. You created the artwork and target image, or you have all rights and permissions needed to upload and publicly share them, including any people, logos, artworks, or trademarks shown. You are solely responsible for the content you submit.
  • License you grant. You grant the developer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your uploaded target and its content in the public gallery, on the public WebAR page, and inside the app. You keep ownership. The license ends for new distribution when you delete the target or it is removed, except for copies already cached on other devices.
  • Not allowed. Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, stolen, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, deceptive, that reveals other people's private information without consent, or that you do not have the right to share.
  • Review & removal. Uploads are reviewed before they appear publicly and may be rejected or removed at any time, with or without notice. Approval does not mean endorsement.
  • Report content. Report content that infringes your rights or violates these terms from the gallery, or by emailing info@pascalsender.com with the target link. Valid takedown requests are handled promptly.
  • Your responsibility & indemnity. You publish at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for user-published content or any loss arising from it, and you agree to hold the developer harmless from claims arising out of content you upload or share.
  • No guarantees. Publishing, review, WebAR compilation, tracking, and availability may fail, be delayed, change, or be discontinued. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Children

Kamera is not designed to collect personal information from children. Because the app does not send normal app-use data to the developer, the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

You can control camera, microphone, photo library, and location permissions in the iOS Settings app. You can delete Kamera app-local data by deleting the app. You can delete saved captures from the Photos app.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Kamera changes its features, data practices, or legal requirements. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
